シンセサイザーの音色のみを使用した演奏は、ギターの生音のみの演奏に比べて、異次元なサウンドの印象を与えることが可能である。仮にシンセサイザーで ”アコースティックギター” 音色を選択していても、その音のもつ細かな個性は、本物のアコースティックギターの音とは別物である。それらは、時には演奏をより魅力的なものとする効果があり、また時には逆効果にもなりうる。しかし、どのような音色の選択をしてもシンセサイザーの音色のみでは、本物のギターの繊細な弦の響きによる表現豊かな演奏をすることはできない。シンセサイザーの音色を使用しながら表現力に富む演奏をするには、シンセサイザー音色とギター生音のブレンド音色を採用することが、最も理にかなっていると考えられる。
Performances using only the timbres of a synthesizer can give an impression of a sound from another dimension, compared to performances using only the natural sound of a guitar. Even if an "acoustic guitar" timbre is selected on the synthesizer, the nuanced individuality of the sound is distinct from that of an actual acoustic guitar. These can sometimes enhance the attractiveness of a performance and at other times have the opposite effect. However, with the timbres of a synthesizer alone, it is impossible to achieve the expressive performance made possible by the delicate resonance of a real guitar's strings. To perform expressively while using synthesizer timbres, adopting a blended tone that combines the timbres of the synthesizer with the natural sound of the guitar is considered the most logical approach.

コーラスエフェクトを用いた人の声の重ね合わせは、穏やかな流れの中で使用することで空間を包み込む効果が顕著に発揮される。しかし、一定以上のテンポでコードが変化する場面では、直前の和音の残響が次の和音と干渉し、不快な不協和音を生じる可能性がある。また、メロディーラインの演奏においては、音の輪郭が曖昧になり、フレーズの明瞭さやリズムの鮮明さが損なわれることが判明した。したがって、メロディーやフレーズを演奏する際には、ギター本来の音を80%、コーラスの割合を20%以下に抑えることが望ましい。一方、ゆったりとした伴奏での使用においては、コーラス音の割合をやや高めても支障が少ないと考えられる。
